Our company was founded on the passion our founder, Dr. Jonathan Mendia has for the special care community. with the importance of oral health and a need for a safe, familiar dental environment, he quickly facilitated for the practice to serve the special care population in the comfort of their familiar dental office. through this, he recognized the overall need for safety and care in all populations in dentistry including pediatric patients. with nearly 10 years in practice, advanced dental anesthesia has set out to be the premier providers of sedation and anesthesia in the tri-state area.

Our Anesthesiologists
Dr. Jonathan Mendia
Dentist Anesthesiologist and Owner, serving New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania
Dr. Mendia is a Dentist Anesthesiologist and the founder of the Advanced Dental Anesthesia Services Group. A New Jersey native, he attended Rutgers University and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science and Nutrition. He then earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
Directly following Dental School, Dr. Mendia completed a rigorous postdoctoral residency program in Dental Anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). Dr. Mendia’s anesthesia training involved hospital rotations through various specialties providing general anesthesia in the areas of dentistry, general surgery, otolaryngology (ENT), pediatrics and obstetrics. Lastly, he received specialized training for office-based anesthesia.

Dr. Gina Chen
Dentist Anesthesiologist, serving eastern Pennsylvania
Dr. Gina Chen is a Dentist Anesthesiologist at Advanced Dental Anesthesia Services of Pennsylvania. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California (USC).
Afterwards, she completed a postdoctoral anesthesia residency at SUNY Stony Brook University Medical Center. Her anesthesiology training included medical rotations in various specialties of medicine such as Pediatric Medicine, Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Critical Care in multiple venues including Operating Rooms, the Dental School, VA Medical Center, PACU, Stony Brook ASC and even private offices.
Dr. Austin Boehm
Dentist Anesthesiologist, serving New York and New Jersey
Dr. Austin Boehm is a Dentist Anesthesiologist at Advanced Dental Anesthesia Services and Advanced Dental Anesthesia Services of New York. He graduated summa cum laude from University of New England with a degree in medical sciences. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
He then attended a General Practice Residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ where he rotated in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Anesthesia. After developing a strong interest in anesthesiology during his GPR, Dr. Boehm completed his postdoctoral residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
His training included the completion of more than 1900 anesthetic cases for various surgeries in a myriad of medical specialties.
Our Team
Rosalie
Office Manager
Rosalie has been with the team since its opening in 2013 as Office Manager. Her role with the Company has been instrumental to both patients and offices alike. For patients, she helps obtain insurance authorizations and reimbursements. For offices she coordinates many "after-hours" appointments and emergencies. She is always available to discuss details of sedation with patients and answer any questions.
Lisa
Lisa has helped launch Advanced Dental Anesthesia into a brand that Dentists recognize as the face of Dental Anesthesia. She is responsible for all marketing and social media campaigns. In addition, she is the Sedation Request coordinator, confirming appointments between Dental Practices and our practice. More specifically, she personally handles all requests of our larger participating provider officers.
Lynn
Lynn joined the team in early 2014 as a Patient Care Coordinator. Her previous role as an Operating Room Assistant has given her first hand experience to General Anesthesia and she is experienced in reading patient medical histories. She has chosen to step out of the operating room to help patients prepare for sedation dentistry as she is responsible for obtaining patient registration forms and obtaining medical clearances as necessary. She is a valuable team member to coordinating appointments with dental practices and patients.
Karen
Karen joined the team in early 2017 full-time as our Administrative and Clinical Director. Her extensive history in bookkeeping and office management made an easy transition to our office. She has quickly taken on advanced issues in claim submissions, administrative duties and treatment coordination.
